See current rates: cotc.edu/join-our-teaching-team Full-Time/Part-Time: Part-Time Position Status: Temp Department: Respiratory Therapy Posting Date: 07/28/2025 Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: • Must reside in the state of Ohio. • Associate, Bachelor's, master's degree in the respective discipline or related area • Ability • use technology in teaching and healthcare settings • to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff. • work in the clinical setting and maintain health and shot records/background checks and drug screens as required by the clinical facility • Willingness to teach and communicate using a variety of instructional modes, email and online learning management systems. • Commitment to meeting students' learning needs and empowering students in their learning endeavors. • Personal and educational philosophy compatible with the mission, values, goals, and objectives of Central Ohio Technical College. • Requires successful completion of a background check. Preferred Qualifications: • A master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the subject area. • Previous teaching experience and experience with curriculum development and assessment. Instruction and Student Learning • Deliver high-quality instruction that aligns with course objectives and institutional standards. • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to support student learning. • Utilize diverse instructional strategies, including technology-enhanced learning, to accommodate various learning styles. • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote academic growth. • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments in accordance with college policies. Student Engagement & Advisement • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation. • Serve as an academic resource for students, offering guidance on coursework, study strategies, and academic progress. • Encourage student engagement through active discussions, collaborative projects, and real-world applications of course material. • Be available for student inquiries and provide office hours or virtual support as needed.
