Amplify is seeking a dedicated staffing Resource Manager to oversee and coordinate a diverse portfolio of software development projects within the Business Systems team. The ideal candidate will fulfill a hybrid strategic and operational role that acts as a bridge across product, engineering, and program functions, with a strong focus on capacity planning, prioritization, and cross-team coordination. This position requires collaboration with leadership teams to optimize resource capacity and ensure the successful execution of IT initiatives. The IT Resource Manager will play a critical role in enhancing our IT Governance meetings and managing resource allocation across various technology projects. Essential Responsibilities: Maintain and accurately enter staff allocations in the resource management tool. Utilizing staffing plans and other inputs from project managers, product owners, and development leads to ensure the data remains current. Implement standardized resource management best practices, policies, and procedures. Evaluate project timelines, budgets and resource constraints to ensure the efficient allocation of resources. Support the initial project resource estimation process by collaborating with product owners, development leads, and IT leadership. Analyze resourcing data to identify trends, capacity gaps/overallocation, and opportunities for optimization. Create and provide resourcing data to inform allocation review and project status meetings. Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to resolve resource-related conflicts, negotiate resource sharing, and balance competing priorities. Serve as the IT Governance board administrator, including scheduling meetings, preparing detailed agendas with clear ownership, and assisting in the creation of informational presentations for meetings, incorporating input from the IT Governance leadership team. Review technology management board roadmaps to determine future resourcing needs. Evaluate and continuously improve resource management processes and systems. Train team members on best resource management practices. Required Qualifications: 2–3 years of experience in resource management, project management, or operations, specializing in resource allocation across multiple departments utilizing a variety of roles. Strong understanding of resource planning, allocation and optimization principles and methodologies. Ability to analyze data to forecast resource needs and availability, and to optimize resource allocation and utilization. Proficiency in using resource management software and tools to track, analyse and report on resource utilization. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resourcing multiple projects and programs simultaneously. A detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation. A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively and implement resource management strategies that align with organizational goals. Willingness to adapt to changing project needs, organizational priorities, and resource challenges. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing high-value and complex resources in and education technology and publishing industry. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus. Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. Experience in managing remote or geographically dispersed teams. The gross salary range for this role is $105,000 - $110,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
