Description Position Summary We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst (depending on experience)** **in **the Monitoring Hub **at Resonate to help provide social listening insights and self-service tools to partners in the progressive digital space. This role will be in charge of maintaining and expanding our social listening database, developing new dashboards for internal and external use, and conducting analysis on social media data to turn into insights for newsletters, memos, and presentations. Responsibilities • Dashboard Development • Develop and maintain new dashboards using social media data to support key use cases for both internal and external stakeholders • Regularly conduct quality checks on data to identify and resolve any inconsistencies or gaps • Analysis and Insights • Proactively analyze social media data to identify valuable insights, such as changes in platform algorithms, fast-rising pages, or new high-performing types of content. • Draft presentations, memos, and newsletter segments for internal and external audiences on key social media trends • Develop insights for partners to optimize their social media content and insights to guide the Convening Hub team in their ongoing partnership efforts. • Social Media Mapping • Support on the team’s social media mapping expansion goals, identifying new social media accounts to track and developing criteria for how accounts get classified, processes for maintaining the mapping, and quality control checks. • In partnership with Blue Rose Research and the VP of Analytics, implement models for categorizing channels by ideological lean and political engagement and integrate these into existing processes • Project and Systems Management • Integrate new sources of data (e.g. topic models, YouTube/podcast data) into Analytics team systems, developing data dictionaries, documentation, and processes as needed • Support on internal documentation and project management tracking to help keep the Analytics team organized and on track Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. • 2-5 years of experience in data analytics, research and social listening, preferably with a focus on politics or social impact. • Fluency in at least one of SQL, R, or Python, with SQL a strong preference • Experience with dashboarding and database tools like Tableau, Cluvio, Looker Studio, or Periscope • Familiarity and qualitative expertise with the political media social landscape • Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects and turn around products on a tight timeline • Excellent communications skills, especially in presenting quantitative insights • A commitment to building a positive team environment, collaborating, and developing new skills as needed Compensation & Benefits Resonate offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance.
