Job Details Research Specialist - RN for Research - Nursing Research and EBP Dept. Casual - 4 hrs per weekday shift : Hybrid opportunity Wilmington, DE ChristianaCare is currently seeking a BSN prepared RN for the Nursing Research and EBP department. In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President, Nursing Quality and Safety and be an active participant in nursing research and evidence based practice initiatives systemwide. As a key collaborator, you will collaborate in endeavors that align with the department of Nursing's strategic direction and the healthcare system's annual operating plan. Candidates must have a spirit of inquiry, seeks new knowledge, articulates the relevance of nursing research as well as an understanding of EBP that contributes to nursing excellence and optimal delivery of patient centered care. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with nurse scientists under the Nursing Research Department on nursing or interprofessional research and evidence-based practice (EBP) initiatives that align with the Department of Nursing’s strategic direction and the healthcare system’s annual operating plan (AOP) goals. Participates in nursing research activities, develops research documents and materials. Collects research data or trains and oversees caregiver data collection including observations. Conducts literature reviews and summarizes findings. Assists with the development of research protocols under the direction of a Nurse Scientist Provides educational information and serves as a resource for nursing research and EBP Maintains local, national, and international standards for conducting research. Education & Requirements: BSN required. Master's degree preferred. Active nursing license Demonstrated knowledge of EBP initiatives, nursing education, and clinical practice Experience in using electronic medical records, Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), and other data collection, analysis and reporting platform. Position is casual, 4 hours per week, non- benefited. Hourly Pay Range: $35.39 - $56.63 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
