About the position
The Research Manager will oversee a team of research analysts, focusing on hiring, training, and mentoring staff. This role involves translating clinical needs into analytic questions, conducting rigorous analyses of health-related data, and presenting findings to support HCA faculty and residents. The position is remote but requires occasional travel to the Brentwood, TN office for meetings.
Responsibilities
Ā Oversee, mentor, and train a team of data analysts.

Ā Contribute to the development of training, tools, and process documentation.

Ā Construct and manipulate large electronic claims datasets.

Ā Develop study designs and analytic solutions based on available data sources.

Ā Manage multiple projects related to various business settings and clinical needs.

Ā Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze needs and requirements.

Ā Present data or analytic findings in various formats (reports, PPT, graphs, figures, and tables).
,
Ā Consult on and provide direct technical support for complex research projects.
,
Ā Develop and maintain knowledge of terminologies and coding procedures used in research and healthcare.

Ā Perform data analyst functions that generate knowledge via data mining, visualization, or other analytics.
Requirements
Ā Bachelor's Degree and 5 years related experience required.

Ā Master's Degree from an accredited program in a research-related field preferred.
,
Ā Experience in a health services research environment.
,
Ā Experience with large healthcare datasets, including electronic health records and Medicare claims.
Nice-to-haves
Ā Experience in staff management.

Ā Knowledge of programming languages such as SAS.
