Research Analyst / Writer β Development Finance (UK Property Sector)
We are seeking a research analyst with strong knowledge of UK development finance to help us produce structured lesson materials for a property developer training programme. The focus is on explaining finance concepts, structures, compliance requirements, and valuation processes in a clear and professional way. The work will involve preparing well-researched, structured training content that breaks down complex finance concepts into practical, digestible lessons. Topics to be covered include: Fundamentals of finance β capital stack, debt, equity, security, collateral, and risk pricing Types of development finance β bridging, senior development finance, mezzanine finance: what they are, how they are secured/structured, interest charging (rolled-up vs serviced) and repayment Compliance around raising finance β FCA/FSMA context, debt vs equity fundraising rules, what can be shared with investors, KYC/AML and investor checks Due diligence β lender requirements when a loan is agreed, solicitorβs role, Independent Monitoring Surveyor (IMS): responsibilities and requirements Valuation process β what it involves, RICS standards, inputs needed, and its role in development lending Deliverables: Structured lesson documents (can include diagrams, tables, case studies, or process flows where relevant) UK-specific context with references to regulations and industry practice Content pitched at professionals training to become property developers Requirements: Strong research and writing skills Familiarity with UK finance, banking, or property development (preferred) Ability to translate technical/regulatory concepts into clear, practical lessons Experience writing training or educational materials is a plus Apply tot his job
