The Research Analyst will work closely with directors and senior analysts to provide market research, investment due diligence, analysis, and investment recommendations to clients. Responsibilities Underwrite private equity funds for Marquette clients, conducting extensive due diligence on direct funds for buyout, mezzanine, venture capital, and other related sectors within the private equity universeWrite reports on investment managers for internal and client use Present research/manager due diligence at internal and external meetingsAttend weekly Investment Committee meetingsRepresent Marquette at investment conferences and annual meetingsDevelop quantitative and qualitative analysis to support original Marquette researchAnalyze overall market factors influencing the asset classesServe as a resource for consultants Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-10 years investment related experience and progress towards CFA/CAIAKnowledge of the private markets industry and managers requiredStrong client service experience and ability to present information effectively and professionallyStrong attention to detail and highly organized with ability to work independently to meet deadlinesAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and react to change positivelyStrong Microsoft Office application skills with the ability to quickly learn new software applicationsCritical thinking skills: a self-starter with excellent follow-up abilitiesProfessional communication and interpersonal skills Research Analyst: Requires 5 years of experience. Salary range $90,000 - 130,000, target bonus 15%. Senior Research Analyst: Requires 5 - 10 years of experience. Salary range $120,000 - 180,000, target bonus 18%. The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
