We are currently looking for Hospice Educator to join our team. The position has fiscal responsibility for education organization wide. Responsible for providing orienation, clinical training and development for nursin and other clinical staff. Work in conjunction with managers, staff and members of the hospice team to evaluate and implement evidence-based trainings and In-services to meet State and federal guidelines and to promote change.
Responsibilities
Supports organization's mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
Develops and implements clinical information systems education
Develops, implements and maintain orientation and annual competencies organization wide for staff and managers
Creates and implements oreintation for clinical staff and students
Serves as a resource for staff on practice issues and the online education center, Relias.
Serves as a practicum/clinical mentor for BSN and MSN students and other disciplines as required
Promotes certification attainment to staff and managers
Assists in the development and implementation of clinical competencies for all clinical staff
Participates in the review and development of patient education materials
Assists in identifying and developing online educational programs for all staff
Collabores with Quality to present outcome based programs
Provides ongoing education and updates of education curricula
Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Masters degree required
3+ years of community health nurse experience preferred 3+ years of experience as a Clinical Educator preferred
Knowledge of HomeCare HomeBase a plus
Excellent teaching and computer skills
Strong organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Computer use, teaching environment
