Private Tutor for MCAT Test Preparation

Job Summary: This Private Tutor will provide tutoring services to a Medical school-bound student. The Private Tutors will conduct mentoring and tutoring services in a virtual environment during the school day, after school hours, or on the weekends preparing the student to take the MCAT Exam.
Education and Experience:
If you have a passion for teaching others and did great at your Medical College Admission Tests (MCAT), becoming a SiSTEM tutor will be easy. It will help if you completed your Medical degree with great marks (B+ or higher). MUST Have a demonstrated history of working with students preparing for the MCAT Exam.
Physical Requirements:
Virtual: You will spend 100% of the time in front of the computer.
Responsibilities:
1. Create a Personalized Study Plan: An MCAT tutor will assess the student's strengths and weaknesses by reviewing their previous coursework and practice test scores. They can then create a personalized study plan tailored to the student's specific needs, ensuring the student focuses on the areas where they need the most improvement.
2. Provide a Targeted Content Review: The MCAT tutors will help the student identify the most important topics and concepts to study for the exam. They should guide the student in selecting the right study materials and resources to cover the content effectively.
3. Teach Effective Study Strategies: The MCAT Tutor should teach the student proven study strategies and techniques for efficient learning. They can help the student break down complex topics into manageable chunks making it easier to understand and retain the information.
4. Administer Practice Questions and Exams: The MCAT tutor will provide the student with a wealth of practice questions and full-length practice exams, which are essential for getting comfortable with the exam format and timing. The Tutor should also help the student analyze their performance on these practice tests to identify areas for improvement.
5. A Good MCAT Tutor will Clarify Doubts: If the student has questions or doubts about specific topics or problems, the MCAT tutor will provide explanations and clarification in real-time, helping the student understand the material better.
6. Motivation and Accountability: The MCAT tutor should provide the student with the motivation and accountability they need to stay on track with their study schedule. Regular tutoring sessions can help the student stay committed to their goals.
7. Test-Taking Strategies: The MCAT tutor will be experienced in helping students develop effective test-taking strategies, teach the students how to manage their time during the exam, handle difficult questions, and reduce test anxiety.

Qualifications and Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt and relate to others from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be eligible to work in the United States of America and have the documentation to prove it.
Have your own computer and be technologically savvy (email, texting, Slack, Google Sheets/Excel)
