Job description: Our Lady of Hope School in Everett is seeking a Kindergarten Substitute Teacher, starting immediately and continuing through the end of October 2023. The position also includes teaching one homeroom religion class.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic, a degree or endorsement in elementary education, and related employment experience. Other skills and qualifications include:
Excellent communication skills and commitment to collaboration
Strong, positive, and proactive classroom management
Passion and enthusiasm for working with kindergarten students
Willingness to create a supportive partnership with parents and students
Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies
Solid organizational, planning, and curriculum mapping skills
Skill in creating a classroom environment that encourages academic risk-taking and mutual support among students
Sense of humor and creative approach to solving problems
Positive team player
