Title: Special Education Instructional Assistant - 7 hrs/day 2023-2024 School Year
Placement (location): Hillside Elementary School & URCEO
Supervisor: Principal or designee
Contract Days: 179 days to begin September 5th, 2023
Salary Range: No less than $17.96 - $25.53 per hour, depending upon previous full-time experience in a similar position
Closing Date: Open until filled with screening to begin as soon as possible
Description:
Special Education Instructional Assistants are responsible for providing, under the guidance and direction of a classroom teacher, instruction and tutoring on various subjects to students with emotional, physical, behavioral, or mental disabilities in assigned special education programs. Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly learning environment to ensure the health and safety of students; assists in cleaning and straightening the classroom; helps with student personal hygiene and grooming needs, including toileting, eating, and changing diapers and clothes in the event of accidents. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
