About the position The Information is looking for an experienced reporter to lead coverage of one of the most important technology companies: Amazon. As the biggest online shopping service, the biggest cloud provider, one of the biggest entertainment companies, and an emerging force in AI, satellites, and robots, Amazon is a leader in several key industries in American business and a key player in the development of AI. Our reporter will source inside and outside Amazon, covering its leaders, its businesses, AI developments, and its battles with regulators. Amazon is currently trying to catch up to OpenAI and Google in AI, while it adapts its shopping service to deal with AI agents that can shop on behalf of consumers. Its streaming service has made waves in the advertising and sports sectors. You'll join a collaborative, high-performing newsroom, working closely with our advertising reporter, Cathy Perloff, and our cloud reporter, Kevin McLaughlin. Together, you'll push the boundaries of tech journalists. This is a great opportunity for a reporter who wants to raise their profile and make a big impact.
