We offer a competitive compensation package, with a salary of a competitive salary.   About the position The Virtual Medical Scribe position involves performing medical record documentation and clerical duties to enhance provider effectiveness and improve patient flow and satisfaction. This role requires working remotely while collaborating with healthcare providers to accurately document patient information during visits, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities • Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts to support healthcare providers. , • Entering the patient room virtually with the physician to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic medical record applications. , • Updating all components of the patient's medical record at the direction of the physician. , • Preparing and sending all documentation to the physician for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures. , • Collaborating with healthcare staff to efficiently monitor basic lab results and screening procedures. , • Monitoring the duration of lab tests and following up as necessary. , • Ensuring accurate documentation in the patient record. , • Supporting compliance with hospital and ProScribe policies. , • Understanding and maintaining HIPAA regulations and Joint Commission standards. , • Demonstrating professionalism through adherence to ProScribe's attendance policies at assigned facility. , • Performing other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required. , • Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US. , • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen. , • Ability to obtain proof of vaccinations as required by specific site. , • Typing speed of 45+ WPM. , • Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English. , • Available to work two shifts per week (16-24 hours per week) for a minimum of 6 consecutive months for part-time; or three shifts per week (32+ hours per week) for a minimum of 12 consecutive months for full-time. , • Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. , • Ability to understand HIPAA regulations and maintain confidential patient information. , • Must possess a personal computer manufactured within the last 4 years and access to high-speed internet (Minimum internet bandwidth of 20 Mbps Download / 8 Mbps Upload). , • Residency in a state approved for virtual work with ProScribe.
