REPORTS TO: President/CEO & Vice President of International Child Development

COORDINATES WITH: Expert Services, Finance, Partner Care, STM Leaders, and National Leaders.

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY

The Short-Term Missions (STM) and Partner Relations Manager will cultivate and multiply VisionTrust International’s (VTI) church and donor partnerships while also managing and leading its short-term missions (STM) programs. This role will serve as a bridge between VTI’s international Child Development (ICD) programming and its donor base by operating as the face and voice of VTI for church and donor relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Church and Donor Partnerships:
• Recruit and develop new church partners and major donor relationships.
• Engage partners to increase financial support for VTI through Child Sponsorship, Special Projects and General Funding.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for U.S.-based donors and church partners, providing timely updates, prayer requests, and program outcomes.
• Create and execute relationship involvement plans tailored to donor and church priorities.
• Provide encouragement, prayer, and ongoing relational support to partners as co-laborers in Kingdom work.

Short-Term Missions Coordination:
• Plan, promote, and lead STM trips that align with VTI’s mission and programmatic goals.
• Collaborate with ICD and marketing to align STM trips with field priorities and development goals.
• Recruit, train, and support a group of volunteers STM leaders.
• Manage STM logistics, including budgets, travel arrangements, participant paperwork, and post-trip evaluations.
• Coordinate with country leaders to ensure STM programs adhere to SOE and accreditation standards.

Financial Management
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop and communicate fundraising priorities and campaigns to donors, child sponsors, and church partners.
• Manage STM budgets and team funds, ensuring appropriate allocation of funds.
• Track and reconcile STM trip expenses, wire transfers, and donor contributions in a timely manner.

Administration
• Maintain accurate records of STM activities and donor engagement in Salesforce and other systems.
• Produce high-level monthly reports on key metrics.
• Review and refine STM materials annually, including training resources and team handbooks.
• Maintain organized files and databases for donor relationships and STM operations.
• Monitor travel advisories, enroll STM participants in appropriate safety programs and ensure teams are fully insured.
• Ensure all Standards of Excellence (SOE) are met and maintained annually, leading reaccreditation every 5 years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

REQUIRED
• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree to the VTI statement of Faith.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to VTI’s mission and vision.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of people.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (6-12 trips per year).
• Experience managing budgets and reconciling expenses.
• International travel leadership experience and proven ability to work cross-culturally.
• Strong leadership qualities with experience in training and coaching others.

PREFERRED
• Previous experience in non-profit, missions, or event planning roles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in international ministry, travel or leadership.
• Knowledge of STM best practices and SOE accreditation processes.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Managed Missions, and other database tools.
• Bilingual (Spanish) helpful but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

TRAVEL: Domestic and international travel required for donor development and STM leadership. Travel may involve exposure to safety and disease hazards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal office activities; occasional lifting, standing, and active work during STM trips.

MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires multitasking, problem-solving, and engaging with diverse personality types in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

COMPENSATION

Range: $35,000-$55,000

Considerations: Compensation is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience, the regional cost of living for fully remote applicants, as well as any specific state considerations for full-time employees.
