Key Responsibilities
 Deliver friendly and professional support to members, providers, and other callers throughout the criteria-based prior authorization process.
 Maintain thorough, timely, and precise documentation of all approvals and denials, while escalating clinical inquiries or judgment calls to the pharmacist team when required.
 Recognize and communicate clinical questions to the pharmacist team as necessary.
 Execute additional responsibilities as assigned, including managing faxes, sorting mail, overseeing email correspondence, and maintaining the Computerized Account System (CAS).
Required Skills
 Strong communication capabilities with an emphasis on customer service.
 Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
 Familiarity with prior authorization processes is essential.
Qualifications
 A High School diploma or GED is required.
 Experience in prior authorization processes is preferred.
 Previous work experience in a call center environment is advantageous.
