You will be compensated with a competitive salary for your time and effort.   Job title: Math Tutor Company: Focused Staffing Group Job description : Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and coordinate reading and math lessons cooperatively with classroom teachers for the purpose of ensuring student success and supporting teachers. Instruct students (e.g. individually, small and whole group sessions, etc.) for the purpose of improving their success in math and assessing key concepts and proficiency through defined courses of study. Collect, analyze, and prepare data for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum. Advise parents and/or legal guardians for the purpose of supporting teacher's expectations, developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment. Prepare and maintain accurate district, state and federal records and reports. Must have excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality. 1-on-1 Online Tutoring: connect with an individual student for a highly personalized learning experience. Small Group Classes: meet with small groups for a more collaborative learning experience Assess students? progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students Collaborate with classroom teachers to assist students in need of acceleration Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing. Support the maintenance of a clean & professional learning environment Be a positive role model for students, support the mission of the school district. Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with school staff Reliability and dependability Assist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as needed Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Current valid PA State Certification - preferred Experience working with school aged children - preferred.
