This position requires that the candidate has a master’s degree, is proficient in how to teach the writing process, and should also be familiar with using both MLA and APA formatting. Experience in teaching writing, English or some form of Education back ground would be preferable. Job Description: Essential duties and responsibilities Access latest weekly tutoring schedule to determine names of students and subjects to be tutored. Determine subject instructors. Check Canvas program prior to tutoring appointments to best prepare for tutoring session. Use subject material and develop strategies needed to assist student. At the end of the tutoring session, enter tutoring session data on the IAL database Navigate. Work with students' academic coach for additional information on student to assist in tutoring. Attend monthly tutor meetings for training and to discuss specific student needs. At the request of the Tutoring Center Director or Coordinator, make additional calls. When necessary, act as a reader/scribe.
