This is a 2-year, fixed-length appointment. In this position, you will provide direct services to students through short-term clinical counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals. In collaboration with other UMA student support staff, you will also serve as a consultant to various UMA constituents, including employees in the UMA housing department and UMA Centers, to support students' emotional and behavioral well-being. Salary: The hiring salary range for this position is $47,000 to $50,000, and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated organizational and project management skills Excellent, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team Computer competency and record-keeping proficiency Familiarity with distance education techniques and/or adaptive technologies Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Required Qualifications: Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related discipline Ability to work weekend and evening hours as necessary Ability to participate in staff rotation of weekend/after-hours phone consultation for the UMA After Hours support line Ability to travel to any UMA location Licenses/Certification: Clinical counseling license eligible Desired Qualifications: Experience working with college students, especially students who are first-generation, low-income, and/or individuals with disabilities Experience with adult learners Experience delivering services for individuals with disabilities, tutoring, advising, or other student support services Other Information: Materials must be submitted via \" for Position\" below.
