[Remote/WFM] Fitness Business Development Specialist - Remote

The Fitness Business Development Specialist is responsible for contacting business owners and stakeholders within the fitness industry throughout the U.S. to present United Healthcare and Optum fitness networks. They will be responsible for recruiting facilities of various sizes and types to join the Optum Fitness Network Programs, as well as managing the daily recruitment efforts for both national and regional partners.
The Fitness Business Development Specialist will also negotiate and execute fitness contracts including reimbursement rates and contract details with gym owners, C-suite personnel, Mayors, Board of Commissioners, etc. They will coordinate and manage the contract process, including reviewing contract language with relevant parties and consulting with the Optum legal team to update and modify the terms as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
 Recruit and contract new fitness center locations into the various Optum Fitness networks
 Perform outreach and cold calling/emailing to prospective gyms
 Think strategically to translate a vision of customer experience to processes and requirements
 Navigate and influence multiple cross-functional teams in a complex, matrix work environment
 Support the development of market and business development strategies and value propositions
 Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
 Provide support to internal teams and stakeholders
 Ability to meet deadlines in an environment where priorities change quickly
 Prospect, cold, call, and outreach to available gyms, studios, and YMCAs to identify key decision makers to negotiate network contracts
 Negotiate contracts including rates and requirements
 Build and develop relationships with key decision makers
 Provide all gym, boutique studios, and YMCA information needed to complete contract requirements
 Conduct telephonic and electronic communications to interact with gyms, studios, and YMCAs
 Interact effectively with management as well as Optum leadership to ensure monthly and annual goals are being met
 Meet monthly and annual recruitment goals of gyms, studios, and YMCAs into fitness networks

Required Qualifications:
 1 years of sales experience
 Experience evaluating and determining appropriate course of action to meet business and client needs
 Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
 Proven ability establishing monthly and annual strategic goals and achieving them
 Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment
 Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence others
 Proven effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
 Proven influencing and negotiation skills
 Proven detail oriented and extremely organized
 Proven solid communication and presentation skills
 Demonstrated ability to achieve results and execute
 Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm
Preferred Qualifications:
 Experience in business development, fitness, or provider contracting
 Experience with cold calling prospects
 Experience with Medicare/Medicaid
 Experience working with Salesforce
 Experience in negotiating contracts
