Remote Utilization Review - Pediatric Physician
Flexible Independent Contractor (1099) Opportunity for TEXAS licensed Pediatrician

Spend only 1-2 hours a week and provide your expertise in Pediatrics by conducting Utilization Reviews in the Utilization Management/Peer Review process. A current TEXAS Medical License is required.
Medical Review Institute of America, LLC (MRIoA) is a national Independent Review Organization (IRO), who facilitates the review of medical claims to determine treatment appropriateness; known as Peer Review or Utilization Review.
IS REVIEW WORK FOR ME?
Are you interested in staying informed of changes and knowing what treatments are being utilized by other Peditricians?
Are you interested in learning more about how to get your own patients treatment approved?
Most MRIoA reviewers average 1-2 hours per week, however, there are no minimum expectations.
Cases typically take 30-60 minutes to complete.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
You will be covered under MRIoAs Errors and Omissions policy (traditional Malpractice Insurance is not applicable for review work)
Work anywhere within the USA (Per HIPAA Regulations patient records cannot leave the US).
Non-employed Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity.
Requirements:
Requirements
Must be an MD or DO, Board Certified in Pediatrics
Must have 5 years of patient care experience in Pediatrics
Must have solid computer navigation skill
Must have an unrestricted TEXAS state medical licensure
Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card (we are unable to sponsor a VISA)

Ability to sit at a desk, utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment is required. This role is designed to be a remote position (work-from-home).
