Job Overview: We are seeking Remote Truss Designers for a mid-sized, independent truss manufacturer. This is not one of the large multi-location clients, nor is it a small mom-and-pop operation. Location: • On-site • Hybrid Remote • Remote Duties: • Design and layout trusses for residential and commercial projects. • Engineering and production documentation preparation. • Scheduling and providing support to the production team. • Offer excellent customer service, handling inquiries and site visitations. • Address repairs and ensure code compliance while following best framing practices. • Collaborate with customers, building officials, the permitting department, and the shipping team. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in truss design. • Proficient in load path development and blueprint reading. • Experience using Alpine Software is preferred, but similar software experience will be considered. • Strong understanding of truss design optimization for manufacturing. • Proven ability to work with production teams to resolve design errors. • Focus on cost reduction, quality improvement, and ease of manufacturing. Compensation & Benefits: • Salary: $75-95k+ based on experience. • Major Medical Health and Dental. • 401(k) with company match. • Flexibility in location: This is a remote position, but candidates interested in working on-site in the Southwest region may also be considered.
