[Remote] Transmission Designer I

They are seeking a Transmission Designer I who will utilize CAD programs to assist in creating and modifying project drawings while collaborating with various teams to ensure timely project documentation.ResponsibilitiesAs a Transmission Designer I, you will use computer-aided design (CAD) programs like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation, to create, edit/modify and print drawings for a variety of projects and a variety of specific project needsCollaborate with a nationwide team across multiple time zonesGaining knowledge of and apply various client’s CAD standards and TRC’s CAD standards as requiredWork with various project teams and document control staff to produce and submit project documentation on schedule and under budgetMaintain drawing records and security protocols in our file management system and/or in conjunction with document control staffPerform self-checks of your own work according to QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) processes and procedures and incorporate review comments provided by other project team membersOccasional overtime maybe required to meet project deadlinesPerform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or project engineerSkillsHigh school graduate or equivalentAn associate's degree, or continuing work towards one, in an accredited architectural & engineering design program with a strong emphasis on CADEquivalent real-world experience in lieu of a degree will also be consideredEntry-level CAD proficiency in a recent version of AutoCADEntry-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word, as well as PDF viewers, such as Adobe Acrobat/Reader and Bluebeam RevuAn awareness of basic drafting conventions and a willingness to learn discipline-specific nuancesPro-active communication skills, both in-person and through voice, video, chat, and emailBasic math skills, plus an interest/curiosity about engineering, design, and analysisStrong attention to detail and commitment to work qualityAbility to be self-motivated and self-sufficientAbility to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and pro-actively seek direction as circumstances requireBe a team playerA desire to grow and advanceA willingness to participate in the company's and team's cultureEntry-level CAD proficiency in a recent version of MicroStationBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match.Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per year.TRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.Company OverviewTRC, a member of WSP, stands for adaptability.
