Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor/Therapist (LPC or LCSW) to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will provide high-quality therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families experiencing diverse mental health issues. Your expertise will guide clients through evidence-based treatment approaches aimed at enhancing their psychological well-being.

Key Responsibilities
Ā• Perform comprehensive initial assessments to identify client needs and challenges.
Ā• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with client objectives and adhere to best practices.
Ā• Offer individual, couples, and family therapy utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities.
Ā• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress in accordance with clinical and ethical guidelines.
Ā• Ensure confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all client interactions.
Ā• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including other mental health and medical professionals, to provide holistic care.
Ā• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including supervision and training, to refine your clinical skills.
Ā• Remain informed about the latest research and developments in mental health counseling, integrating new insights into your practice.
Ā• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support as required.
Ā• Foster a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages clients in their healing journeys.
Ā• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness.

Required Skills
Ā• Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness.
Ā• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, facilitating trust and rapport with clients.
Ā• Capacity to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
Ā• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation protocols is advantageous.
Ā• Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity.

Qualifications
Ā• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Ā• Active licensure as an LPC or LCSW in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain).
Ā• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
