[Remote] Temporary Senior Analyst (Indirect Tax)

The TemporarySenior Analyst (Indirect Tax) will be responsible for managing the US Sales and Use Tax function, ensuring compliance, and participating in tax-related projects and audits. Responsibilities • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly US Sales and Use Tax (SUT) returns across multiple jurisdictions • Manage a detailed tax filing calendar to ensure all jurisdictional deadlines are met • Coordinate with third-party service providers for data exchange, review of prepared returns, and timely remittance of tax payments • Execute data uploads, reconcile reports, and perform initial testing of the tax calculation engine (e.g., Vertex, Avalara) updates to ensure accurate tax determination • Prepare journal entries and detailed support for monthly sales and use tax accruals and payments • Assist with quarterly ASC 450 calculations and supporting documentation • Reconciliation of all indirect tax accounts and systems • Research, resolve, and document routine and complex tax notices from state and local authorities • Gather, organize, and analyze data to support internal and external SUT audits • Monitor changing indirect tax legislation for potential business impact • Participate in indirect tax transformation projects, with a focus on system testing, data validation, and documentation • Ad hoc indirect tax related projects as required Skills • 4+ years of direct experience in US Sales and Use Tax compliance and planning, with demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing SUT returns while working in a multi-state, high-volume transaction environment • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively to meet strict filing deadlines • Bachelor's degree in Accounting • CPA or Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax • Vertex, Avalara, and Netsuite experience a plus Company Overview • Angi is a technology-based tool that helps homeowners find home improvement and property renovation professionals.It was founded in 1995, and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
