Remote Telemedicine Veterinarian (Evening & Weekends)
About the position Dutch Pet, Inc. is seeking a part-time Remote Telemedicine Veterinarian to provide professional veterinary services via a telemedicine platform. The role focuses on expanding access to care for pets by evaluating medical data, establishing veterinarian-client-patient relationships, and issuing prescriptions when appropriate. The veterinarian will work flexible hours, primarily evenings and weekends, while maintaining high standards of care and adhering to telemedicine regulations. Responsibilities • Provide professional veterinary services remotely via a telemedicine platform. , • Evaluate each patient's medical data and history to determine appropriate care. , • Establish veterinarian-client-patient relationships through secure communication. , • Issue prescriptions based on professional medical judgment and client dialogue. , • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with established laws and regulations. , • Adhere to practice standards and obtain informed consent for telemedicine services. Requirements • Licensed veterinarian in good standing with the medical board in at least one state (e.g., California, Florida, etc.). , • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. , • At least 3 years of post-graduate work experience as a licensed veterinarian. , • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain medical terms in simple language. , • Strong medical writing skills for patient-focused communications. , • Problem-solving skills and a collaborative attitude. Nice-to-haves • Availability to take evening or weekend shifts in cases of emergency. , • Patience and a love for animals.
