Responsibilities:
Support small group and one-on-one instruction to present, guide, and reinforce skills, concepts, and strategies
Maintain and update student records, monitoring and recording academic and behavioral progress
Prepare instructional materials, supplies, and equipment for lessons
Participate in meetings, professional development activities, and substitute for fellow workers as needed
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and codes of the profession
Requirements:
Valid Illinois Educator License with Stipulations - Paraprofessional or Professional Educator License or Substitute Teacher License
Effective verbal and written language skills, with the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
Ability to work well with students and staff, with a strong commitment to supporting student learning and achievement
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Experience working with children preferred, with a strong understanding of child development and educational principles
