Remote Tax Reviewer w/ Ultra Tax Experience - Seasonal

Harrison & Associates CPAs is looking for an experienced Tax Reviewer with Ultra Tax experience to join our tax team this tax season anywhere from 30-55 hrs a week (whatever fits your needs). Work the hours you want to work, 9-5 is not a requirement for this job. We just ask that you are available to call clients at a reasonable hour if needed, and be available 9-5 in the initial 2 weeks of your employment for training around our processes. As a Tax Reviewer, you will be an integral member of our tax team. This role requires you to have a strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Duties and Responsibilities • Review individual, complex 1040 tax returns, trust returns, non-profit returns & business return in accordance with our firm policies. • Ensure that each tax return is accurately prepared. • Conduct tax research and provide guidance to tax preparers, when needed. • Provide possible tax savings opportunities • Review estimated tax payment calculations. Skills and Qualifications • 5+ years of tax preparation and review experience • 5+ years of Ultra Tax experience • CPA or EA designation a plus • Demonstrated skillset in tax regulations • Thomson Reuters UltraTax experience a plus • Extremely detail-oriented, analytical, and strong problem-solving skills • Adaptability to work in a paperless environment. • High integrity, positive attitude, and team player • Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills • Proficiency with Microsoft applications Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and working at a computer • Lifting requirements of 30 pounds to carry client records, bags, computers, and peripheral equipment • Occasional travel for remote meetings or work in other satellite offices Supervisor, Compensation, Benefits and Other: • Reports to Tax Manager • Non-Exempt position.
