About the Role:
Conduct tax interviews with clients and support DIY online tax clients through virtual tools, such as video conferencing, phone, chat, and email
Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services to drive revenue and expand our client base
Collaborate with leaders and peers to communicate and coordinate your remote work, ensuring seamless results and teamwork
Grow your tax expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements
Your Expertise:
Experience completing individual tax returns, with a strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and procedures
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Access to high-speed, reliable internet and proficiency in technology, including MS Teams and Outlook
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in clients and explain complex tax situations concisely
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience utilizing effective customer service techniques and researching information using various tax and publication tools
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent, with a high school diploma or equivalent, or higher
Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during peak tax season, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
Nice to Have:
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification, with experience completing complex tax returns and tax planning
5 years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Experience conducting virtual tax interviews, with a focus on creating confidence in clients and delivering exceptional customer experiences
Sales and/or marketing experience, with a proven ability to drive revenue growth and expand client relationships
