[Remote] Tax Associate (Remote)

Fondo is an all-in-one accounting platform built for startups, and they are seeking a Tax Associate to provide federal and state tax compliance and consulting services. This role involves collaborating with accounting and operations teams to meet client deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Data input into ProConnect Tax Software and conduct international tax return review Review and occasional support of financial statements Maintain customer project list Assist with various State and Federal filing deadlines Continually check client Slack channels for potential support needs Maintain filing system in cloud-based software Research of problems or questions from clients Implement strategy with sales and marketing teams Additional projects and duties as assigned Skills 1+ years of experience in accounting Strong knowledge of general accounting and tax accounting Extensive experience with business and individual tax returns (federal and state), particularly C-Corps Working knowledge of international tax Proficient in ProConnect, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Excel Excellent priority management skills Experience managing financials for multiple clients Ability to clearly describe accounting systems and processes in written correspondence and procedure manual format Knowledge of research techniques to analyze data and make recommendations Proficient in using accounting and information systems to organize and present financial data Ability to prepare statistical reports and analyze financial reports Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity, able to problem-solve creatively and manage multiple client and filing deadlines at once Bachelor's Degree required (concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred) CPA certification preferred Benefits Bonuses: Eligible for performance-based bonuses.
