We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our team in a remote work capacity. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in developing and driving new sustainability initiatives, measuring program effectiveness, and promoting a culture of sustainability within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance sustainability procedures and recycling programs through cross-functional collaboration and data-driven insights
Connect environmental sustainability to business value and support the development of organizational sustainability performance goals, key performance indicators, and targets
Conduct research, analyze, and gather data from various internal and external sources to inform sustainability initiatives
Manage the tracking and statistical analysis of key performance indicators related to sustainability matters, including recycling, climate change, energy, packaging, and sustainable procurement
Manage multiple sustainability projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on advancing KPIs and deadlines
Create and maintain internal project plans, monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiencies and overall quality
Proactively identify opportunities to create value and mitigate risk through sustainability and recycling initiatives
Assist in evaluating improvements in sustainability/recycling programs and benchmarking best practices
Stay up-to-date with current and emerging technologies, tools, and techniques related to sustainability and recycling
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Perform ad-hoc tasks and assigned responsibilities as required
Up to 75% travel may be required for this role

Ideal Candidate:
If you have a passion for sustainability, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, we encourage you to apply. You should have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly organized with the ability to meet changing needs and deadlines
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Capable of working under pressure, producing high-quality results while meeting delivery dates
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
Proficient in MS-Office suite, with strong PowerPoint skills
Knowledge of MS Project and SharePoint
Experience with recycling initiatives and sustainability programs is preferred but not required
