[Remote] Staff Software Engineer, UI Experience

Ridgeline is the industry cloud platform for investment management, and they are seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their UI Experience team. The role involves building and evolving the core UI framework and component library, collaborating deeply across teams, and driving innovation in front-end systems. Responsibilities β’ Partner closely with product engineers to understand their needs, build highly leverageable solutions, and deliver features for our customers β’ Contribute to the thought leadership, technical design, and implementation of our underlying UI framework in an Agile team collaborating on design, strategy, and engineering β’ Think creatively, own problems, seek solutions, and communicate clearly every step of the way β’ Engage in a collaborative environment deeply rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency β’ Demonstrate a strong dedication to code quality, automation, and operational excellence Skills β’ 8+ years in a software engineering position or similar function β’ Strong history of architecting and designing new products and technologies β’ A degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related discipline β’ Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS β’ Experience building scalable component libraries and design systems β’ Experience using AI tools like Cursor and ChatGPT β’ Willingness to learn about new technologies while developing expertise in a business domain/problem space β’ Ability to focus on short-term deliverables while maintaining a big-picture perspective β’ Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and all audiences β’ Serious interest in having fun at work β’ Experience with investment or asset management applications β’ Experience building performant, enterprise-level web experiences at scale β’ Knowledge of Node.js and Express β’ Knowledge of front-end build tooling in the React ecosystem (e.g., Webpack, ESBuild, bun) β’ Experience with agile development methodologies β’ Understanding of building back-end infrastructure using AWS offerings such as Lambda, S3, CDKTF β’ Knowledge of Docker-based container architecture β’ Background in design, economics, or finance Benefits β’ Unlimited vacation β’ Educational and wellness reimbursements β’ $0 cost employee insurance plans Company Overview β’ Ridgeline is a computer software company that specializes in software development to deliver for the investment management industry.
