Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate tutor to join our team as an In-Person Tutor for SSAT/ISEE/HSPT exams. As a tutor with our national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic journeys. Our ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced educator who is committed to providing high-quality, personalized instruction to students preparing for these exams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-person tutoring sessions to students, focusing on the Reading/Writing sections of the SSAT/ISEE/HSPT exams
Design and execute customized lesson plans tailored to individual students' needs and learning styles
Administer practice exams, evaluate student progress, and adjust lesson plans accordingly
Collaborate with students' families to keep them informed of progress and provide ongoing support
Stay up-to-date on changes to the SSAT/ISEE/HSPT exams and modify lesson plans as needed
Maintain accurate records of session details, scores, and student progress
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Experience in tutoring, teaching, or test preparation, with a focus on SSAT/ISEE/HSPT exams (preferred but not required)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop customized lesson plans for individual students
Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings and weekends as required
Ability to work independently and remotely, with a self-motivated and committed approach to helping students succeed
