[Remote] Sr. IT Project Manager, Data Engineering & Analytics

Local World is seeking a results-driven Senior IT Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in delivering large-scale, multi-phase projects, particularly in Data Engineering Analytics and SAP ecosystems. The role involves managing complex projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities • Manages highly complex, multi-phase projects across all areas of the global organization • Assist in the development of business cases • Identify project stakeholders and their project roles • Collaborate with project sponsors and process owners to establish KPIs and success metrics • Create and own project charters, project plans, operational hand-off plans, and closure reports • Accountable for change management, training and testing plans • Create and maintain effective communication plans to ensure frequent, accurate, and timely stakeholder updates • Responsible for regular updates to Executives, Leadership committees and project stakeholders through status reporting and project reviews • Deliver assigned projects on time and on budget • Take strong ownership of the business outcomes that result from project execution Skills • Proven experience in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines integrating SAP S/4HANA (and related modules) with Google BigQuery, ensuring clean core principles, scalable architecture, and efficient data modeling for analytics and reporting • Analytics & Business Intelligence: Driving data-driven decision-making through advanced reporting and visualization • SAP Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, integration strategies, and end-to-end lifecycle management • Project Delivery Excellence: Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget • Stakeholder Management: Executive-level communication, negotiation, and collaboration • Change Management: Leading organizational training and process adoption for sustained outcomes • Business Process Integration: Experience with supply chain, consumer products, and manufacturing industries • Skills include strong business acumen, future-thinking, strategic, tactical, accountable, collaborative, and proactive • Extensive experience understanding and managing complex and/or multi-year projects • Minimum 10 years experience as a SAP/IT Project Manager • Experience using Power BI for reporting • Experience with SAP BW migrations • Experience using MS Projects for project management tasks • Excellent oral, written and communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • SAP experience, S4/Hana preferred • University Computer Science or Business Commerce degree or equivalent experience • Experience in supply chain for consumer products, fashion or manufacturing industry preferred • ScrumMaster experience, preferred • PMP Certification, preferred • Experience with Jira and Confluence for project management is a plus • BA experience is a plus Company Overview • Local World is an SAP-focused recruitment agency that provides contract and permanent SAP expertise to Fortune 500 firms around the country.
