[Remote] Sr Database Administrator at Remote

Syntricate Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to support a large-scale enterprise application migration and modernization initiative. This role will be crucial in transitioning legacy systems to modern infrastructure environments while ensuring database performance, integrity, and security.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Assess existing databases for migration readiness
ā¢ Plan and execute database migrations across on-premises and cloud environments
ā¢ Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to minimize downtime
ā¢ Monitor migration processes and troubleshoot issues
ā¢ Provide technical guidance and documentation during transition efforts
ā¢ Work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility
ā¢ Configure, manage, and maintain SQL Server database environments
ā¢ Perform schema conversions, data transformations, and integrity validation
ā¢ Optimize database performance during and after migration
ā¢ Manage roles, permissions, and security configurations
ā¢ Implement encryption, auditing, and access controls
ā¢ Ensure compliance with enterprise data security standards
Skills
ā¢ 5+ years of experience as a Senior SQL Server DBA
ā¢ Experience migrating application databases across versions and platforms
ā¢ Strong backup and restore expertise
ā¢ SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
ā¢ Experience managing database roles, permissions, and encryption
ā¢ Advanced T-SQL proficiency
ā¢ Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) implementation
ā¢ Database design and normalization
ā¢ PowerShell scripting
