[Remote] Sr. Automation Tester with IRS GFE required

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 3M Consultancy is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to support an IRS code modernization project. The role involves planning, building, and running tests to ensure new code functions correctly and meets quality standards. Responsibilities • Understand project requirements and turn them into clear test plans and test cases • Set up test environments and run both manual and automated tests • Log and track defects, and work with the team to get them fixed • Perform regression and acceptance testing to ensure everything works as expected • Support backend testing, including APIs and databases (SQL is a plus) • Work with automation tools like Selenium or Cypress • Take part in the full software development lifecycle and CI/CD process • Help improve testing processes and contribute to better software quality Skills • 5+ years of work experience • Active IRS MBI Clearance Required • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical people • Good time management and teamwork skills • Experience writing and executing test scripts • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks • Familiarity with backend testing, CI/CD, and the overall software development lifecycle • Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred (more experience required if no degree) • Experience with non-functional testing (Accessibility, Performance, Security) is a plus Company Overview • 3M Consultancy is a staffing firm that offers contract, temporary, hire, and permanent placement services.
