[Remote] SQL Server Database Developer with PowerBI Experience and Azure

Our client, Kodeva LLC, is seeking a Lead SQL Server Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases while collaborating with various teams to deliver scalable data solutions. Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end design, development, and optimization of SQL Server databases. • Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot complex Stored Procedures, functions, views, and scripts. • Drive performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization for high volume workloads. • Collaborate with business, BI, and application teams to deliver scalable data solutions. • Work closely with the Power BI team to support data models, datasets, and reporting pipelines. • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best practices across the database team. • Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, and production support. • Coordinate with Azure/Cloud teams to design and deploy database workloads into Azure environments. Skills • 10+ years of experience as a Database Developer or SQL Developer. • Strong expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, database design, indexing, performance tuning). • Experience supporting or building data models for Power BI. • Familiarity with Azure data components (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure VM/MI, etc.). • Solid understanding of SDLC processes, release cycles, and production support. • Proven experience mentoring or leading small technical teams.
