Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Special Education Teacher to provide virtual instruction and support to students in Michigan. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on students' academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities
? Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and other school staff.
? Virtual Instruction: Deliver direct instruction to students using virtual platforms, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and abilities.
? Progress Monitoring: Assess and document student progress toward IEP goals, adjusting instruction as needed.
? Collaboration: Work closely with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student progress and address academic and behavioral goals.
? Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and services provided.
Qualifications
? Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
? Licensure: Valid Michigan teaching certification in Special Education.
? Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a virtual setting.
? Technical Skills: Proficiency with technology and comfortable using virtual learning platforms.
? Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
