[Remote] Software Engineer II (Full Stack), Messaging Security Products

Abnormal Security is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer II to join their innovative team in the Messaging Security Products division. This role focuses on enhancing core offerings in Email Security and threat visibility by building and maintaining comprehensive products, with a primary emphasis on back end development. Responsibilities • Design and execute software projects that are crucial to Abnormal’s success, in collaboration with a team of engineers, through conception, design, implementation, launch, and operation • Provide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the team • Collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, and GTM teams to implement, verify, and iterate on issues and requests from our customers • Raise the standard of excellence in engineering by actively sharing knowledge within the team and engaging in professional development activities • Hit the ground running by contributing to the team's work within the first two weeks Skills • BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or other related engineering field • 3+ years of industry experience designing & building fullstack software applications • Expert in React, Redux, JS/Typescript • Intermediate+ Python and/or Go skills • Experience building features & components from scratch and operating them, balancing feature development work with operational tasks • Open to following pre-established guidelines, coding practices, and conventions • Experience working with distributed teams, proficient in asynchronous and written communication • You're growth-driven & looking to increase impact & responsibility over time • You're able to leverage AI Developer tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor in your daily workflow • Familiarity with our stack: AWS, K8s, Django, Postgres/MySQL, Prometheus • Familiarity with AWS services and deployment practices • Experience working with LLM-powered tools and AI assistants • Knowledge of containerization • Experience with distributed systems Benefits • Bonus • Restricted stock units (RSUs) • Benefits Company Overview • Abnormal AI is the leading AI-native human behavior security platform.
