[Remote] Software Engineer, DevSec
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Coinbase is on a mission to increase economic freedom globally and is seeking a Software Engineer for their Developer Security team. The role involves building and maintaining services to secure Coinbase's software supply chain, as well as collaborating with engineers to integrate security into the software development process.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Build and maintain services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang
ā¢ Deliver features and small-to-medium projects end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring
ā¢ Author technical design documents and break down complex features into individual tasks
ā¢ Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers
ā¢ Improve code quality and address technical debt within your ownership area
ā¢ Participate in on-call rotations, code reviews, and incident response
ā¢ Work with engineers, product managers, and security partners to deliver on the team's roadmap
Skills
ā¢ At least 2 years of experience in software engineering
ā¢ You have built, deployed, and maintained production services and understand service-oriented architecture
ā¢ You write high quality, well tested code
ā¢ You can author technical design documents and break down features into discrete tasks
ā¢ You actively use modern tooling (including AI-assisted development) to ship faster and learn new domains quickly
ā¢ You are passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
ā¢ Experience with security tooling or security-adjacent engineering (e.g., SLSA, Sigstore, artifact scanning, SBOM)
ā¢ Familiarity with Artifactory, Xray, or similar supply chain security platforms
ā¢ Experience with Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, MongoDB, gRPC
ā¢ Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
ā¢ You have worked at a company during a period of rapid growth
