[Remote] Software Development Engineer in Test Intern (Global E-Commerce) - 2026 Summer (BS/MS)

They are seeking an intern to assist in developing test automation solutions, working closely with developers and business stakeholders to improve product functionality and efficiency during a 12-week internship program in Summer 2026. Responsibilities Work alongside developers as well as business stakeholders and strive to automate the acceptance criteria Build robust, and high–quality test automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing Participate in PRD review and architectural design review. Be aware of the business logic, system architecture, and inner functioning of the product Automate test cases as well as writing reusable scripts/tools that help the team to reduce repetitive efforts Stay proactive to identify the efficiency bottleneck, research and improve process, tools, framework, etc Skills Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Computer Science or a related technical discipline Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026 Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment Understanding of computer field fundamentals for testing framework, networking, database, and algorithms Hands-on experience in development/coding knowledge and system design Strong concurrent task processing ability and efficient work output Graduating December 2026 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment Benefits Day one access to health insurance Life insurance Wellbeing benefits 10 paid holidays per year Paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year) Housing allowance Company Overview ByteDance is a technology company that develops content creation platforms and services.
