[Remote] Software Consultant (Remote - USA)

The Software Consultant will be responsible for creating and maintaining software for products in Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure, working within a high-performance agile/scrum team. Responsibilities • Will work in a high-performance agile/scrum team of mixed disciplines • Will participate in design and development discussions, create software according to requirements, implement automated testing methods and diagnose failures, assist in review of documentation to verify correctness • This position will also assist implementation teams in customer issues or specific configurations • Some travel will be required Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with 1-4+ years of relevant experience • Minimum of 2 years developing scalable, enterprise-level web applications in Java • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment • Experience working with an industry standard IDE (Eclipse) is expected • Experience with message brokering software (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ) is expected • Experience working with containerized applications on an MS Azure Cloud environments is expected • Experience in working multinational teams is expected • Experience using git is preferred • Experience with relational database concepts and SQL is preferred • Experience with Spring, Struts (or similar MVC framework), JavaScript, Hibernate, XML, JSON, or other web UI technologies is highly desirable Company Overview • Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division helps clients design, construct and operate more profitable, safe and sustainable industrial facilities.
