Remote Slot Mathematician
Overview

Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Major Accountabilities
ā¢ Develop and optimise game mathematical models to precisely meet the design specifications.
ā¢ Ensure player fairness in all designs and corresponding math models.
ā¢ Ensure math models comply with all jurisdictional standards and regulations.
ā¢ Complete all required calculation sheets showing theoretical and simulated results where required.
ā¢ Write clear and concise functional specification documents, paytable and help page documents and other associated game support materials.
ā¢ Program prototypes to visually represent the game model.
ā¢ Brief model requirements to all development disciplines.
ā¢ Work directly with all development disciplines to bring game designs and associated math models into deployable content for end users to experience.
ā¢ Verify back end implementation of mathematical models.
ā¢ Be aware of the status at all times of your projects through production and QA.
ā¢ Spot defects and potential improvement tweaks during production and prior to QA.
ā¢ Identify potential improvements to games after they have been released if required.
ā¢ Analyse performance data from the marketplace to help identify future game mechanics and industry trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
ā¢ Bachelor Degree in Mathematics or Statistics (or equivalent experience)
ā¢ The imagination to create market defining online gambling games to the highest standard
ā¢ A strong understanding of and experience with probability theory
ā¢ A passion for online gambling and its inherent theories and models
ā¢ Full understanding of online slot games with intrinsic knowledge of game math, game flow and playability, presentation of the math utilizing both graphics and audio.
ā¢ A track record of producing successful online products, specifically, real money gaming slots
ā¢ Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
ā¢ Strong written and verbal English communication skills
ā¢ The ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment in order to meet multiple deadlines
ā¢ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to create complex spreadsheets
ā¢ Solid interpersonal skills in dealing with and influencing individuals from a variety of disciplines
Desired but not Required
ā¢ Masters in Mathematics or Statistics
ā¢ Prototyping skills using Unity, Construct, Flash, HTML-5, Javascript or similar
ā¢ Experience with C# or similar to help develop simulations or more complicated math models
ā¢ The ability to create XML control files
