[Remote] Senior Software Engineer(java)

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performing software solutions, requiring strong full-stack development expertise and collaboration with distributed teams.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design, develop, and maintain scalable web-based applications and microservices
ā¢ Lead and contribute to software architecture, design discussions, and technical decision-making
ā¢ Develop front-end applications using JavaScript frameworks (Angular preferred)
ā¢ Build and maintain backend services using Spring Boot
ā¢ Implement containerized development and deployment strategies
ā¢ Apply CI/CD practices to improve development efficiency and product quality
ā¢ Design and implement data models based on high-level business requirements
ā¢ Troubleshoot complex system issues, including Sev1 production incidents, and identify root causes
ā¢ Conduct system performance testing and resolve bottlenecks
ā¢ Support application integration and ensure robust system design
ā¢ Apply Object-Oriented Programming principles and design patterns in solution development
ā¢ Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
ā¢ Collaborate with remote technical leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
ā¢ Identify potential risks or impediments proactively and recommend mitigation strategies
ā¢ Contribute to engineering best practices and mentor team members where appropriate
ā¢ Participate across the full software development life cycle including requirements analysis, architecture, development, testing, and deployment
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
ā¢ 10+ years of professional software development experience
ā¢ Strong experience with: JavaScript-based frontend development (Angular preferred), Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, Linux environments and shell scripting, Containerization technologies
ā¢ Experience in data model design and implementation
ā¢ Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
ā¢ Solid understanding of networking concepts and system architecture
ā¢ Experience working in distributed or remote collaboration environments
ā¢ Experience in the payment processing industry
ā¢ Familiarity with AI development tools and automation technologies
ā¢ Exposure to cloud-native application development
