[Remote] Senior PHP Developer (No C2C)

The role involves designing and building scalable backend services, optimizing PHP applications, and collaborating with teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data models for a Pimcore-based MDM platform • Build and optimize PHP applications focusing on performance, scalability, and data integrity • Design and implement APIs (REST/JSON) to support downstream systems and automation workflows • Work with complex data structures, relationships, and lifecycle management • Contribute to platform architecture, technical design, and code standards • Review code, mentor team members, and enforce best practices • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in platform optimization and enhancements • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements Skills • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PHP development • Bachelor's degree in computer science • Advanced proficiency in PHP and frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony • Experience with Pimcore or similar platforms • Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB) • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) • RESTful API design and development • Familiarity with Kafka, OpenSearch, and Graph Databases • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps workflows is a plus • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Performance tuning and solution architecture • Solid understanding of web security best practices • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Leadership and mentoring capabilities Company Overview • Aptonet delivers innovative IoT, operations research, mobility & web solutions along with staffing services with a focus on professionalism.
