[Remote] Senior Database Administration Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. They are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and other database platforms to manage, optimize, and secure their enterprise data systems. Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server, and other DB platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies • Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) • Design and manage backup/recovery strategies • Perform disaster recovery planning and testing • Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code • Configure indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies • Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries • Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues • Document processes, standards, and best practices Skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • 5+ years of experience as a DBA with Oracle and SQL Server • Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and indexing • Proficiency in SQL scripting, PL/SQL, and TSQL • Experience with database monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Profiler, etc.) • Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud) • Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Benefits • Health insurance coverage • Voluntary dental and vision programs • Life and disability insurance • A retirement savings plan • Paid holidays • Paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time Company Overview • Conduent delivers digital business solutions and services spanning the commercial, government and transportation spectrum – creating valuable outcomes for its clients and the millions of people who count on them.
