The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and operating the data warehouse and connecting the available data sources. The company has successfully established a database containing over 200 mn business contacts, companies, and built-in customizable features. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with a brilliant worldwide remote team in a Silicon Valley-backed organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines
Build new integrations to support rapid increases in data volume and complexity
Implement automated monitoring, alerting, self-healing features on the platform
Integrate processes and systems to monitor data quality
Ensure accuracy and availability of the data
Write unit/integration tests and contribute to engineering documentation
Define the data models and write jobs to... populate them
Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop a clear strategy
Job Requirements:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or a data facing role
Proven track record working in data pipelines and warehouses
In-depth skills in data warehousing
Excellent skills in data structures and algorithms
Sound ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Experience using the Python data stack, deploying and managing data pipelines is nice to have
Expertise in technologies like Airflow, Hadoop, and Spark is a plus
Understanding of streaming technologies is desirable (Kafka, Spark Streaming
