REMOTE: Senior Claims Specialist - Non-Auto Liability

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Adjudicate all aspects of the claims handling process under minimal supervision
Conduct phone interviews and investigations to determine liability and damages
Finalize liability determinations for third-party losses and negotiate settlements
Communicate professionally with insureds, claimants, agents, and attorneys regarding claims status
Assist in mentoring other claims representatives within the department
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Currently hold an active state adjuster license or obtain one following the date of hire
Four years of multi-line claims adjusting work experience
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage difficult conversations
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Six years or more of claims handling experience
Completed four-year degree in a related field such as Criminal Justice or Insurance and Risk Management
Understanding of statutes, case laws, and policy contracts
Strong negotiation skills and a passion for customer service
Effective multi-tasking abilities
