[Remote] Senior Big Data Architect

Grid Dynamics is a leading provider of technology consulting and advanced analytics services, looking for a Senior Big Data and MLOps Architect to lead major engagements with Fortune 1000 clients. The role involves driving innovation in data platforms and MLOps, while mentoring a team and managing client relationships to ensure successful delivery of enterprise data solutions. Responsibilities • Advise clients on corporate data strategies, data platforms, AI/ML/LLMOps platforms, and relevant tools and methodologies that they can deploy to accelerate Big Data and AI programs. Estimate business value and provide justification • Lead and drive technology consulting engagements and pre-sales, architecture assessments, and discovery workshops. Plan data engineering, MLOps, and LLMOps programs of Fortune-1000 enterprises and lead a team of principal consultants, data engineers, and ML engineers who work on client accounts and drive consulting engagements to success • Lead and mentor a team of senior technologists, develop consulting methodologies and playbooks. Manage relationships with technology partners and industry analysts like Gartner and Forrester • Lead the development of reusable assets in data engineering, MLOps, IoT, and Customer 360 that reduce the implementation costs, accelerate the delivery, and create differentiation • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams on bringing these solutions to the market • Work with Grid Dynamics’s delivery organization to ensure that the right tools, technologies, and processes are in place across the firm to transform and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our clients’ data platforms and data management processes Skills • Extensive practical experience in Big Data engineering, data governance, and cloud data platforms • Extensive practical experience in AI/ML platforms, MLOps, LLMOps, and corresponding tooling including open-source, cloud native, and proprietary • Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures for data collection, data aggregation, reporting, and BI • Experience in managing and delivering sophisticated analytical and data engineering programs at the enterprise scale • Deep domain knowledge in at least one of the following industries: Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Energy, or Travel. Experience with IoT and/or Customer 360 solutions • Experience with leading teams of senior technologists, willingness and ability to drive the practice development, pre-sales collaboration, and delivery in a consulting environment • Managed key client relations worldwide and advised global technology and business leaders on innovation and data strategy • Strong expertise with at least one cloud platform and familiarity with other two: GCP, AWS, or Azure • Data engineering: data lakes, EDW, Spark, Flink, Kafka, data governance, data mesh, Snowflake, Databricks • ML and MLOps: Vertex AI, Sagemaker, Dataiku, Databricks • LLMOps: Closed-source and open source LLMs, caching, fine-tuning, Ray.io • Transactional databases: Redis, Ignite, Cassandra, MongoDB Benefits • Medical insurance • Vision • Dental • Corporate social events • Professional development opportunities Company Overview • Grid Dynamics is a provider of in driving enterprise-level digital transformation solutions.
