[Remote] Senior Animator (2D) & Illustrator

They are seeking a Senior Animator (2D) & Illustrator to produce animated content for their Traffic Tales series and support broader brand creative initiatives. The role involves storyboarding, animating, and designing characters and environments while maintaining a consistent visual style. Responsibilities • Storyboard/animatics from scripts or transcripts • Design characters, environments, and props in series style • Animate snappy, platform‑native reels (IG/TikTok/Shorts) with great comedic timing • Mix SFX/music/dialogue and deliver final masters • Spin up new formats: help prototype and launch additional animated series and short explainers. • Create web graphics, icon systems, ad creatives, and social templates • Build motion graphics for explainers and new social concepts • Edit live‑action and UGC—punch‑up pacing, add motion, captions, and memes • Color script and art‑direct scenes (you know color theory cold) • Maintain a consistent look & file hygiene (layer naming, comps, proxies) • Review performance and iterate—you care what the audience responds to • Manage revisions quickly, deliver on time. Skills • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), DaVinci Resolve and/or Final Cut Pro • Color theory (palettes, mood, contrast, readability) • Creative video editing for short‑form and explainers • Excellent typography/layout; strong illustration or asset‑building skills • Character Animation: frame-by-frame, rigging, lip-sync, facial swaps, timing, easing, squash & stretch. • Story & Comedy: storyboarding, beat selection, comedic timing, readable on-screen text pacing. • Lottie/Bodymovin for web micro-animations • Basic sound design/music editing • Figma for marketing pages and ad variations • Automation (AE scripts, render queue tools) to speed output Company Overview • Off The Record is the smart way to fight any traffic ticket.
