[Remote] Senior Accounting Manager | Rapid Growth Creative Media Business | Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harmonic Finance Inc is a rapidly growing media and content production business that focuses on elevating independent talent in the creative industries. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for building out the accounting function, overseeing month-end and year-end processes, and ensuring compliance with financial controls. Responsibilities • Support the setup of month end in Netsuite • Own the monthly the monthly close and continuously improve processes for growth • Ensure robust US GAAP financial controls are implemented including ASC 606 revenue recognition • Establish inventory control and stock reporting processes • Establish and oversee royalties accounting • Own the year end process working closely with auditors • Liaise with tax advisors to ensure tax compliance • Manage all day to day accounting activities (AP, AR, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll) • Support the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects • Develop a team as the business grows Skills • Either a qualified CPA (ideally Big 4) or relevant industry experience • Ideally worked in either Creative Industries (TV & Film, Music, Media, Publishing) OR ecommerce • Excited to work in a scale-up business • Commercially astute and able to build relationships with senior stakeholders • Degree in Accounting or MBA • CPA qualification is preferred • Experience in Book or Magazine Publishing • Some experience with either royalties accounting or inventory accounting Benefits • Bonus Company Overview • Harmonic is a B Corp Recruitment & Executive Search company that partners with some of the fastest growing start-ups, scale-ups, and entrepreneur-led organisations worldwide.
